I’m curating a compilation of the “Music of the Mentally Ill,” a collection of songs from openly mentally ill musicians, in working towards ending the stigma around mental illness. I plan to throw it up on Bandcamp for $5, and donate all of the proceeds to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.
The compilation will be released on May 14th. All submissions are welcome as long as you are diagnosed with a mental illness (include what mental illness(es) you’re afflicted with when you email me, I’m very curious). Finally, email me your final recordings (preferably in wav or aiff format) by May 10th at thehumankitten@gmail.com
